I am dedicated to helping people
achieve their maximum health potential using chiropractic as the primary
vehicle. Chiropractic adjustments are a very powerful method to get you
out of pain and reduce stress on the spine and nervous system.
Adjustments correct what chiropractors call subluxations.
I also give patients the tools to keep themselves healthy with exercise,
lifestyle changes and good nutritional habits. I was attracted to
chiropractic for several reasons.
First and foremost chiropractic philosophy believes in the inherent healing ability of the body. The chiropractic adjustment merely assists the body to do what it does best: restore itself to a healthy state. The other attraction was that chiropractic does not use drugs or surgery to achieve results. Chiropractic adjustments could be likened to a precise exercise, like "jump-starting" the system. As a former engineer chiropractic just made sense to me, normalizing the biomechanics and the body will do the rest. Our bodies have to obey the laws of physics just like every other earthly object. Why not use that to our advantage? Combine that with good nutrition, exercise and loving relationships and you have a formula for optimum health! I invite you to call or email me for an appointment today. In my 20 years of practice I have always extended the offer of a free consultation with no cost or obligation. I look forward to meeting you soon! STRONG EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND I was raised to value education by my parents who weren't able to graduate from college but who encouraged me every step of the way. Most of what I've accomplished has been based on the education I received from some of the top universities and colleges in the nation. • Palmer College of Chiropractic-Western campus, Cum Laude, Doctor of Chiropractic, 1981. • Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, Post-graduate Chiropractic Orthopedics, 1986. • San Jose State University, Master of Urban Planning, 1972. •U. of California, Berkeley, BS, Civil Engineering, 1968.
A WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE 20 years of practice and thousands of patients have given me the experience to find the specific problem for every person who walks through my door. I worked in a clinic in San Francisco, with chiropractors, a medical doctor, podiatrist, biofeedback therapist and massage therapist. I learned so much from all of them that pays off directly in better care for my patients. • Associate Chiropractor, Campbell, 1982-1983. • Clinic Administrator and Chiropractor, San Francisco, 1983-1988. • Chiropractic Independent Practice, San Mateo, 1989 to present. A LEADER IN THE PROFESSION Through professional associations and meeting with fellow doctors I keep up with the latest developments in health care. Holding several offices has given me great leadership experience and definitely helps me to bring the latest in natural health care to my patients. • Member: California Chiropractic Association • San Mateo County District (SMCCD) • Secretary, SMCCD, 1990-1992. • Treasurer, SMCCD, 1992-1993. • President, SMCCD, 1994-95. • Newsletter Editor, SMCCD, 1994-present. • Treasurer, SMCCD, 2000-present.
HIGHLY QUALIFIED After I became a chiropractor I realized there were some things I had to accomplish, not because I was interested in titles, but because I had to get the knowledge to do the best job for my patients. Along with that knowledge came recognition for these accomplishments which I'm proud of. • Board Eligible in Chiropractic Orthopedics, 1986. • Industrial Disability Examiner, California Chiropractic Foundation, 1987. • Qualified Medical Examiner, California State Department of Industrial Accidents, appointed 1991 and current.
